For the students in my apprenticeship, it isn’t. This service seeks to offer 1:1 access to a professional doula to anyone whose training did not include this necessary component.
Completing training gives you foundational knowledge, but the real work begins when you start serving clients. Mentorship helps doulas translate their certification into practice, gain confidence, reflect on experiences, and handle the emotional and ethical responsibilities of end-of-life care. It’s a bridge between learning theory and building a grounded, professional practice.

Yes. Doulas from any training program are welcome. Farewell Apprentices receive 1 mentorship session with every curriculum unit; all additional sessions are 50% off, for life.
