Advocacy + Family Support
When someone’s voice needs to be heard.
Serious illness and dying affect entire families. Different needs, fears, relationships, and opinions can make an already difficult situation harder to navigate. Farewell helps individuals and families communicate, understand one another, and keep the wishes of the person at the center of care.
Advocacy and family support may include:
Preparing for difficult family conversations
Helping communicate end of life wishes and priorities
Supporting spouses, partners, children, siblings, friends, and chosen family
Helping families understand changes in needs or care
Preparing loved ones for what to expect as death approaches

The person who is ill or dying does not have to be the person who hires us. Farewell can work with the people around them, including caregivers and loved ones who need guidance and support of their own.
Care + Companionship
When you need another person beside you.
Sometimes what is needed is not another appointment or another decision, but another person who knows how to be present and useful. Farewell provides practical, relational care for people who are seriously ill or dying and for the people caring for them.
Care and companionship may include:
Regular home or facility visits
Companionship for someone who is seriously ill or dying
Caregiver respite and support
Education about the dying process and what to expect
Comfort focused, nonmedical support
Bedside presence during active dying
Vigil planning and support
Help creating a calm and meaningful environment
Legacy work, life review, and meaningful conversation
Ritual or ceremony when desired
Additional Farewell team support when more presence or coverage is needed
Care can begin long before active dying. Some clients want companionship through months of illness. Others need support as death approaches. Farewell care can change as the needs of the individual and family change.
After Death Care
When you need help with what happens next.
The hours after a death can feel unfamiliar and rushed, but families often have more time and more choices than they realize. Farewell helps you understand what needs to happen, what can wait, and what options are available for caring for the person who has died.
After death care may include:
Guidance immediately following a death
Education about what happens next
Coordination with hospice, funeral homes, and other providers
Support with funeral, cremation, burial, and disposition options
Home funeral and home vigil guidance
Nonmedical care of the body
Shrouding and preparation for final disposition
Creating meaningful rituals or ceremonies
Family participation in after death care when desired
Support during the transition from bedside to funeral care
Planning these choices before a death occurs when possible

As Needed Doula Care

You’ll work primarily with one Farewell doula and can schedule additional support whenever you need it.

Ongoing Doula Care
For families who want consistent support and greater availability.
30 hours · $3,500
Your 30 hours are completely customized around what you and your family need.
A care plan might include four weekly visits, comprehensive advance care planning, a legacy project, vigil and after death support, and a bereavement visit.
Two Farewell doulas provide continuity, greater availability, and ongoing phone, text, and email support.

Farewell becomes your dedicated end of life care team, providing comprehensive, responsive support throughout serious illness, dying, death, and the days that follow.
$3,500 / week

You become our primary client, with Jade and the Farewell team prioritizing our time, attention, and availability around your changing needs.

One relationship. A whole team behind it.
End of life rarely follows a schedule. Needs change, plans shift, and sometimes more support is needed than one person can provide.
Farewell uses a team based approach to care, giving families greater continuity, availability, and support while maintaining a consistent relationship with the doula who knows them best.
Your care may include a primary doula supported by other experienced Farewell doulas when additional presence, respite, bedside care, or coverage is needed.
