We explore children’s books about death, grief, and loss, and why stories can offer children a safe place to encounter ideas that can otherwise feel difficult to name. We talk about reading together as a form of connection, the importance of using clear language about death, and how characters, words, and illustrations can give children a way to explore their own questions and emotions.
